Engineering Manager
Back Market is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager who will lead our Core Platform team (5 engineers) within our Platform tribe.
The core competencies of this role include mentoring and coaching people, cultivating a collaborative team, leading delivery, production operations, and continuous improvement. As in Back Market, we lead by example, we expect the role to also be hands-on, so personal contribution is expected.
As the Engineering manager of the Core Platform team, you’ll lead a team of highly skilled and committed developers dedicated to providing foundational tools, libraries, and standards that enhance developer productivity and ensure consistency across application development. By fostering a culture of experimentation and enabling robust observability, the team empowers developers to deliver high-quality products efficiently and effectively.

What you'll be doing :
- Leading a collaborative team in order to enhance developers productivity and ensure consistency across application development
- Collaborating with the product group and other tribes to align the team with company objectives and initiatives across engineering and the wider business
- Ensuring the development of people and teams through ongoing coaching and mentoring
- Creating a team environment where team members feel like they belong and are supported to do their best work
- Establishing open communication and a culture of feedback between team members
- Working in an agile "build it and run it" environment where engineering teams build, launch, monitor and support the sections they own
- Working with the team to identify and make improvements in our processes, practices and product
- Supporting teams in increasing delivery proficiency by creating a learning environment

- Experience working in agile development teams with some knowledge of our following tech stack : AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, RestFul API, Python, Django, VueJs, Nuxt, Datadog, Spinnaker, Nginx, UWSGI
